Lytx facilitates fleet manager operations with new driver-centric tools

Video telematics company Lytx has introduced a suite of new tools on the Lytx Driver App which help fleet drivers take control of their performance, safety and compliance with minimal fleet manager input or intervention.

“Drivers are busier and more stressed than ever before,” says Lytx CTO Rajesh Rudraradhya, adding that these driver centric tools are an investment to reduce the burden of their day-to-day job, helping them stay positive and motivated as they go about performing a critical service that we all rely on."

The tools let drivers use their Android or iOS devices to track and improve their on-road performance. Features available on the App today include Video, Self-Coaching, Performance Metrics, Driver Recognition, Rout Risk, ELD Compliance, and Driver ID.

"When drivers have access to tools that empower them to excel at their jobs, it can translate to better engagement, more job satisfaction, lower turnover and safer driving," says Lytx product management director Kristin Costas.

This, in turn, allows managers to focus more on running their operations rather than monitoring individual drivers or technicians in the field.
